Everything Vibrates
Nothing in this Universe is devoid of Vibration
Vibrations, Language, Words
Resonance of Words with Vibration. Resonance of the Mind
Every letter of the alphabet expresses a Vibration.
Every word we use carries its own Vibration and many words, brought together, produce a kind of “sum of Vibrations”.
That sum becomes the vibrational quality of the discourse we are making and, more generally, of our language.
It is as if we function like a radio, continually tuned to certain frequencies.
Do you remember the well-known example of the tuning fork and the string of a guitar or a piano?
If you set a tuning fork vibrating, the string tuned to the same note begins to vibrate by resonance.
Something similar also happens in relationships.
We tend to enter into resonance with People who respond to the Vibration that we ourselves express.
Our mind comes into tune with theirs, as if both were tuned to the same programme.
The way we speak tells who we are
Speaking gently or speaking harshly already represents a vibrational characteristic.
The same applies to a hurried style of speech or a calm one.
We can therefore identify at least two fundamental elements:
- the type of Will we are expressing;
- the type of words we use.
Words are a consequence of our Will, of what we wish to express towards the People we meet and in the different situations of Life.
The language we habitually use expresses part of our fundamental Vibration.
It tells who we are.
It also reveals various traits of our Astrological Configuration and of our Birth Chart.
An Astrologer knows this well.
The way a Person speaks is also one of the elements that can be observed during the verification of the Birth Time, together with much more specific astrological tools.
If a Person has a sweet, pleasant way of speaking and spontaneously uses delicate terms, it is difficult to find in the second House a configuration dominated exclusively by a strong expression of anger.
In Vedic Astrology, the second House represents, among its various areas, the quality of speech as well.
An afflicted Mars in the second House, for example, may contribute to a harder, sharper or more angry expression.
An exalted Moon in the second House may instead contribute to a more melodious, softer and more pleasant voice.
As always, these are examples used to understand the principle.
In Reality it is necessary to observe the whole Astrological Configuration and the balance of the Forces involved in order to understand the texture of the Person.
The Liver, the Second House, the Guru
The Body also participates continually in the quality of our expression.
A fatigued organism, difficult digestion or a general state of discomfort may be reflected in the voice, in the mood and in the way we communicate.
A badly managed Life produces many consequences.
But what does a badly managed Life really mean?
It may be a Life that expresses mainly a Vibration of suffering through many everyday Actions:
- the words we use;
- the food we choose;
- the People we spend time with;
- the way we organise our days;
- the relationship with our Body;
- the relationship with our mind.
We do not always manage to see our own behaviour clearly.
And this difficulty too can become part of the imbalance.
When do we begin to see something of ourselves?
Sometimes a Person begins to question their Life when a physical problem appears.
They then turn to a doctor, who will try to understand what is happening and will propose an intervention to help the organism return towards a greater balance.
I do not wish here to speak about the medical art itself.
Medicine is only an example to show a more general principle:
every intervention introduces a new Action into an already existing balance.
The point that interests me is the Vibration inherent in things and the way in which we continually enter into resonance with what surrounds us.
Why, for example, might we choose a Person unsuited to us, a wrong environment or a path that we later recognise as a mistake?
Because, at that moment, we were in resonance with that Error.
Words attract other words
When we habitually use a harsh, hard or aggressive language, what kind of People and situations will more easily enter into resonance with us?
They will hardly be those who live mainly in Poetry, Love, Beauty, Compassion and Joy.
The choice of words is connected with the choices of Life.
Using words that express a good Vibration, reading texts that introduce into the mind a Vibration of Truth, choosing a Food that supports a balanced physical condition, means beginning to build a different inner environment.
They are small steps that can lead towards a Life with greater meaning and, consequently, greater Serenity.
The Wise have always attributed great importance to the careful use of speech and to Satsangha, that is, the company of People and environments of good quality, oriented towards a useful Will.
Resonance in relationships
When our mind and our Body express a Vibration more in tune with Truth, the way in which we relate to the world also changes.
The People we spend time with change.
The situations we accept change.
The choices we make change as well.
An ancient Latin principle says:
Similia similibus curantur,
“like is cured by like”.
Beyond the medical meaning of the phrase, the idea of resonance remains interesting.
Like calls to like.
A Person with bad intentions may certainly present themselves under a pleasant appearance.
But a Person who has developed within themselves a strong Vibration of Truth will have a greater possibility of perceiving what is really before them.
As we say where I come from:
“A word to the wise is enough.”
The word in Gurus and Wise Beings
By observing the Birth Charts of Gurus, of Masters and also of certain Saints of the Western Tradition, one can often notice a particular quality connected with speech.
Apart from certain exceptions and different individual modes of expression, the voice may be characterised by sweetness, detachment, firmness or a particular intensity.
At times there may be a great deal of Fire.
But Fire does not necessarily have to become sterile anger.
It may be Strength.
It may be determination.
It may be a word that shakes without destroying.
Vedic Astrology also allows these differences to be observed through the second House, the Planets that occupy or influence it, its Lord and the whole Astrological Configuration.
Speech is therefore not only an instrument through which we communicate.
Speech tells the story of our Vibration and, through that Vibration, it also tells the story of a part of ourselves.
