What This Website Does

AstrologiaVedica.it

Chakras and subtle bodies

This website works to spread an ancient Indian Instrument called Jyotisha, meaning Science of Light, known in the West mainly as Vedic Astrology, and offers Birth Chart Readings according to this ancient Indian Knowledge.

The arrangement of the Planets, their meaning within the Birth Chart, the Symbols and Archetypes they represent, the Houses, the Nakshatra, the Dasha, the Divisional Diagrams and the other tools of Jyotisha allow us to read Karma, that is, the pattern of Life, going beyond that everyday veil of Maya which often makes its meaning difficult to understand.

Vedic Astrology does not serve only to describe a Person. It can show where they come from, which Functions are operating in their Life, which periods of Time are becoming active and in which direction certain experiences may lead them.

The Birth Chart is a Map, but that Map opens progressively through Time.

I discussed this in greater depth in the article “The Birth Chart Is Not a Photograph, It Is a Map in Time”.

Dasha and Divisional Diagrams

Indian Astrology possesses different systems of Dasha, that is, periods through which the development of Karma in Time can be observed. One of the most widely used is the Vimshottari Dasha, but there are also other systems, such as the Narayana Dasha, the Shula Dasha and many others, each with specific interpretative functions.

Through the Dasha we can understand why a certain part of the Birth Chart, present since birth, suddenly becomes central during a particular period of Life.

The article “When Karma Changes Time: Understanding the Dasha” is also dedicated to this subject.

Also of great importance are the Divisional Diagrams, each of which allows particular areas of Life to be explored in greater depth:

the Navamsha, the 9th Divisional Diagram, allows us to observe important aspects of Dharma, relationships and other dynamics of Life;

the Dashamsha, the 10th Divisional Diagram, is used mainly to explore the professional sphere;

the 24th Divisional Diagram, Chaturvimshamsha, allows us to observe study and the Path of learning, while the 20th Divisional Diagram, Vimshamsha, is used to explore the Spiritual Path.

These are only a few examples, because Jyotisha possesses a much broader interpretative structure.

The Importance of Birth Time

Precisely because Jyotisha uses Divisional Diagrams and very precise timing tools, the Birth Time and Exact Minute assume great importance. A few minutes may leave the Rashi practically unchanged and, at the same Time, modify a Divisional Diagram.

For this reason, when there is uncertainty about the time, it may be necessary to carry out a rectification by comparing the Birth Chart with events actually experienced.

I discuss this on the page dedicated to Birth Time and Exact Minute.

The Nakshatra

Another fundamental characteristic of Jyotisha is the use of the 27 Nakshatra, the Asterisms that further divide the Zodiac and allow us to explore the quality through which a Planet manifests its Function.

Two People may have the Moon in the same Sign and experience that Function in very different ways precisely because the Moon is placed in different Nakshatra or Pada.

The article “Nakshatra: What the Twelve Signs Cannot Tell” is dedicated to this subject.

The Remedies

Jyotisha does not limit itself to observing an Astrological Configuration. Within the Tradition there are also numerous Remedies used to work with Energies that are more difficult to manage.

Over the years I have personally experimented with different astrological Remedies, practices originating from Ayurveda and also Western tools that I considered useful along my Path.

On this website I have collected some of these experiences in the pages dedicated to Astrological Remedies, Right Action, the Mantra, Gems and Stones and Purification of the Body.

The Remedy, as I understand it, is not a shortcut for erasing Karma but an Instrument through which we can intervene in the way we move through it.

Studying Jyotisha

Over the years I have conducted numerous Vedic Astrology courses, both in groups and individually.

Today the entire section dedicated to the study of Jyotisha is gathered on a specific website, where the course structure, levels, programmes and methods of participation are presented:

On this website, instead, I have preferred to keep mainly articles, in-depth material, consultation tools and content useful for understanding the vision of Jyotisha.

This Website Is Part of a Path

AstrologiaVedica.it was not created as a simple container of astrological information.

It represents part of a Karmic Path, the result of many years of study, research, experiences, encounters and work on Birth Charts.

Many articles arose from personal experiences, others from observations developed during consultations, and others still from the study of the ancient Indian Tradition.

The website will therefore continue to gather what I consider useful for understanding Jyotisha more deeply and, above all, the way in which this ancient Knowledge can be used in real Life.

I wish you a pleasant stay among these pages and good work in exploring the various subjects.

Have a good Journey — or rather… Happy Navigation!
