Blue Sapphire
Saturn, known in India as Shanì (pronounced Sha-nee), plays a certain role in fortune and in the means of livelihood. Usually, in the period when its influence becomes dominant, it can bring highs and lows in life. Fundamentally, Saturn governs pain, in the sense that it uses it for education if we do not properly understand the messages of life. The Saturnine type is thin, with a nervous temperament. A Saturn placed in harsh conditions makes life complicated, and it is then better to understand its messages and follow the indications it gives in the Natal Chart. The most suitable Gem for the planet Saturn is Blue Sapphire, set in Silver or Iron, of at least 3 carats. This too is a Gem that must be used with care, in relation to one’s own astral pattern.

A much more economical Gem, though of acceptable effectiveness even if less powerful than Sapphire, is Amethyst.
Mirra Alfassa (known as Mère) said that Amethyst has a great protective power in general. Placing a very large one in the house can be of great help for protection, but attention! It is fundamentally important to analyse the Natal Chart. A badly placed Saturn will give a strong impulse to the Pain it represents.
