the Third Sign of the Zodiac
Gemini as the Ascendant Sign in Vedic Astrology
An Air Sign.
There is a well-known saying, “he is a mercurial type,” meaning that he is changeable, dynamic but rarely has his feet firmly on the ground. This is Mercury, which rules this Astrological Sign, and therefore its imprint is very strong.
There is ambivalence because it is a “dual” Astrological Sign.
The dynamism is very high, sometimes reaching levels of anxiety, because it never finds definitive fulfilment but is always “diving” into something new that excites the mind. The computer is a very powerful magnet for mercurial types. In this Sign of the Zodiac there is support for excellent expressive and communicative ability. The tendency towards writing in its various forms is clearly present (journalism, internet, use of the computer in general); programming is also one of the characteristics of this Astrological Sign (computer programming or planning tasks, at work, organisation in general. Accountants usually have a strong planet Mercury); planning and everything that requires organisational skills are typical of this Zodiac Sign.
All this does not mean that, by being born with Gemini at the Ascendant, one certainly possesses all these qualities. It simply means that these mercurial qualities dwell in this Constellation, but every aspect must be confirmed by the symphony of the whole choir, that is, the entire planetary balance. Mercury is the messenger of the gods but is also playful; it loves jokes and games. If these qualities pass through the intellectual and experiential maturity of life, there is a balanced adult person but still with the impulse towards dynamism, towards doing several things at the same time. In the opposite case, there is an immature person. As always, these are general indications, simply intended to give an idea of the type of character and energy that dwell in this Astrological Sign.
Vedic Astrology is an ancient tool for modern Counselling.
It provides the tools to understand the trajectory of one’s life.
At times it seems that events are governed by forces too great for us to confront the events themselves…. but even this perception is part of the veil of Maya…
Each of us is a reflection of the universe… Observe yourself and you will understand the essence of the universe but… above all, of this world! -:) \-:)
